Join a Team

We believe church works best when everyone plays their part.

Being part of a team is one of the simplest and most meaningful ways to get connected at Christ Church. It is how we serve one another, welcome others, and help make church a place where people encounter God and find genuine community.

There are lots of different ways to get involved, whatever your age, stage, or experience. Whether you are helping on a Sunday, serving behind the scenes, or supporting a ministry during the week, every role matters. You do not need to have everything figured out, just a willingness to get involved.

Joining a team is also a great way to build friendships, feel part of the church family, and grow in your faith as you serve alongside others. You can get stuck in for a season or make it a longer term commitment. There is flexibility to suit you.

Explore teams

  • We want everyone who walks through the door to feel noticed, valued, and at home. If you can offer a warm smile, say hello, and help people settle in, you can make a real difference from the moment someone arrives.

  • We want to help the whole church engage with God in worship. Whether you are a musician, singer, or part of the sound and AV team, you can play a key role in serving the church and pointing people to Jesus.

  • We want our children to know and love Jesus from an early age. If you enjoy spending time with primary school aged children and helping them learn the Bible in a fun and engaging way, we would love you on the team.

  • We want to see young people grow in faith and confidence in following Jesus. From Sunday gatherings to Thursday evenings, this is all about building relationships, having fun, and helping young people explore what it means to live for Christ.

  • We want to be a church that depends on God in prayer. This team serves by praying with people at the end of our services, offering encouragement, care, and pointing people to God’s promises.

  • We believe some of the best conversations happen over a good cup of coffee. If you can pour a drink and chat to people, you can help create a space where friendships grow and people feel part of the church family.

  • We want to care well for one another as a church family. This team works in pairs to visit and support those in need, offering time, presence, and practical care in the love of Christ.

  • We want to serve and support parents in our community. Stay & Play is a welcoming space for toddlers and their carers on Monday mornings, and this team helps create a friendly, relaxed environment where people feel at ease and supported.

  • We want to look after the buildings and spaces God has given us. If you are practical and happy to lend a hand with occasional jobs, you can help keep things running smoothly behind the scenes.

  • We want to make church events welcoming and well run. From setting up rooms and helping with catering to washing up or even a bit of painting and decorating, this team gets stuck in wherever needed to make things happen.

  • We want the life of the church to run smoothly behind the scenes. From helping with one-off tasks to giving a few hours each week, this team plays a vital role in supporting the day-to-day work of the church. If you are organised, reliable, and happy to help where needed, you can make a real difference.
